I am kicking of this new beginning with Blogging Tutorials. I have over the time discovered that most people want to start online business but would want to start it from knowing how to blog. Blogging is the easiest way to start a business online. There are millions of blogs on  the internet with some being free and some paid. Starting a successful blog takes efforts, research, perseverance and dedication.

While most people set up blog as hobbies or just to kill time, others who are professional bloggers use their beyond just hobbies. They make money from it. Therefore, blogging is a business.

First thing first. Knowing what you want to do is important when starting a blog to make money. Most successful bloggers started it as hobbies or passion and had their experience at a point where they had to create a working system based on their experience. One of the greatest mistake any would-be-blogger will make is to start thinking that all the money will be made in the first month. No!!! You will get frustrated with this thinking. Money will over flow from your blogging activities as you build quality content blog where your readers can rely on without seemingly presenting it as sales letters to them. Once you can have quality readership of a great content, you are sure to make money in matter of months.

Reason for setting up a blog: Are you creating blogs primarily to make money and pay your bills from your activieis or it goes beyond that. You must consider the 5 reasons why you want to set up a blog.

Know Your Passion: Blogging is fundamentally your posting about your opinion in a niche you chose. It could be for review of products where you state your candid opinion; it could be an entertainment blog, educational blog like this one you are reading. It could also be for your business. If you want to blog and start in an area you just heard people are making a lot of  money from regardless of the fact that its your passion, hobby or expertise, you are not going to be successful. The reason is that you will have to be writing, teaching and helping people or blogging based on what you know. This is why passion is important. For example, I am very passionate about creating and selling web sites and I have created a blog where I teach on how to buy and sell websites for profit. I write my daily experience there for my readers to know what my opinion and experience is in that area. I am able to write from my inner person. This is how you should blog.

Read Successful Blogs: If you want to be a millionaire, think like a millionaire. This is often the sayings. If you are starting a blog for motivation or law of attraction, it is very ideal that you know those who are successful in this area. You should be able to read blogs like Joe Vitale. You can not become successful without having to read the successful people. This will show you their style of writing and how money is being made from these blogs. If you are going to write on Blogging, you can also read bloggers like Jeremy’s Shoe Money and study their pattern of blogging.

Decide A Niche and Research It: Yea… This is basically where many get it wrong. Don’t just blog. Blog professionally. If you are blogging to make money, you must be able to research an area that is paying. If you have in mind to use your site for adsense monetization, then keyword must be considered. Your niche keyword will help you to have back link traffic as well as get a high pay keywords from adsense. If you are just going to sell your products on your site, it is also important that you have a niche keyword that is being searched for, less competitive as well as in demand.

There are various ways to research your keyword before you register your domain name. I will be discussing this in the next article. All the above will help and give you a clear idea if a niche you want to start are being searched for, the number of times people are searching for such as well as similar sites already running such  niche.

Have a Business Plan: Your blogging business is a business. Never start a blogging business without setting goals for yourself. One thing I have also known from personal experience is that if you don’t have a written goal or even mental picture of where you are going, you will never move to anywhere. Have a goal for your blogging business. Have a plan on how you want to run it, what blog that already exist that you want to model, as well as what your earning goal will be in three months, six month and 12 months as well as  two years. Once you have this, you will also decide how much you are willing to commit in your blogging business, your personal effort as well as outsourcing if you do not have some skills such as setting up the blog and posting.  Don’t just write a business plan. but write a business plan that sells. Figure Out Money Making Programs You will add on your blog: Like it or not, many are going into blogging to make money. That’s ok, But its a great approach in a wrong way. while you are ready to make money, the mission of your blog is to give quality value and make money or get paid for your value in return. Once you start your blog and populate it with money making programs, I bet you will not go anyway long before you get frustrated. The best you should do is figure out and know all the money making programs you will add on your blog once it is up and running.

To achieve the above, use the adage that says small is beautiful. Do  not use a lot of links on your blog, especially affiliate links as it will obstruct and put your readers off. Also, with the recent implementation by google, your site may drop in terms of ranking once you have adds all over. Just a few should be ok. But you must figure out what type of ads you will have on your site and when you should start implementing the ads. I will be discussing in details program you should run on your blog as we progress.

In running ads on your blog, they must be related to your content or niche. Never start a blogging business on website traffic and add an advert about Forex trading as this is not normal. You must add adverts that are related to your content.
